Δασκαλιού
,
που είναι ένα μικρό νησάκι
κρυμμένο πίσω από τη Νήσο Ρόμβη.
Λέγεται ότι εδώ, την περίοδο της
Τουρκοκρατίας, λειτούργησε ιερατικό
κρυφό σχολείο, για τα παιδιά της
γύρω περιοχής. Σε αυτό το «κρυφό
σχολείο» προσπαθούσαν να μάθουν
κρυφά στα παιδιά τη γλώσσα και την
ιστορία τους και να ανασυγκροτήσουν
την εθνική τους συνείδηση. Σήμερα το
Δασκαλιό παραμένει ανέγγιχτο από
το ανθρώπινο χέρι, παρ’ όλους τους
επισκέπτες που το κατακλύζουν, είτε
για προσκύνημα στο ξωκκλήσι είτε για
θαλάσσια μπάνια. Χαρακτηριστικό του
και τα δύο άλλα νησιά που στολίζουν
τον κόλπο του,
η Ρόμβη [1]
ή
νησί της
Αφροδίτης,
όπου συναντάμε τμήματα
και τείχη μεσαιωνικού κάστρου καθώς
και διάσπαρτα ενετικά ερείπια
ναυστάθμου, άλλων κτιρίων και
κατοικιών και το
Κορωνήσι
,

με
το εκκλησάκι των Αγίων Αποστόλων,
όπου τελούνται γάμοι και βαπτίσεις
για τους ρομαντικούς.
It is said that during the pe-
riod of the Turkish rule, there
was a “secret school” – “kryfo scho-
leio” on the island. In that “secret
school”, priests tried to teach chil-
dren in secret their language and
their history in order to maintain
their heritage.
Today Daskalio remains untouched
by humans, despite the many visi-
tors who undertake a pilgrimage to
the chapel, or just go to the island
for a swim. Let’s not forget the
two small islands that adorn the
Gulf. One of them is
Romvi
,

the island of Aphrodite
,
where we find sections and walls
of a medieval castle, scattered
ruins of a Venetian naval base and
various buildings and houses. The
other is called
Koronisi
,

with its
chapel of “Agioi Apostoloi” (Holy
Apostles), where weddings and bap-
tisms are carried out for the ro-
mantic ones.
(griech.: κρυφό σχολείο – geheime
Schule) bemühten sie sich, die Kinder
im Geheimen in Sprache und Geschichte zu
unterweisen, damit sie ihr nationales Be-
wusstsein zurückgewinnen könnten. Trotz
der vielen Besucher, die in Scharen nach
Daskalio kommen - sei es nun um eine
Wallfahrt zur Kapelle zu unternehmen,
oder aber, um von dort aus zu schwim-
men- blieb die Insel unberührt von Men-
schenhand.
Eine Besonderheit, die übrigens auch auf
die beiden anderen im Golf liegenden In-
seln zutrifft. Eine davon ist
Romvi [1]
auch die Insel der Aphrodite genannt,
wo
man nicht nur auf Mauerabschnitte einer
mittelalterlichen Burg stößt, sondern sogar
auf verstreute Ruinen eines venezianischen
Flottenstützpunktes und verschiedener Ge-
bäude und Häuser. Die andere heißt
Koronisi [2]
in deren Kapelle
Agioi Apos-
toloi
(griech.: Άγιοι Απόστολοι - die Hei-
ligen Apostel) Romantiker gern Hochzeiten
und Taufen zelebrieren.
