Impressive was this year the celebration of the " Armada " , the representation of the burning of the Turkish flagship at the glorious Battle of Spetses leading event heroism of Spetses , which took place on September 8, 1822 and which has been recorded as one of the most important events of revolution of 1821 . The Municipality of Spetses with a varied festive program from 3 to September 11 , honored as each year the historic anniversary .
